Crossdressing over 50

Mature Crossdressers: Still Turning Heads After 50

Frocks, heels and a slick of lippy never came with an age limit. Get dressed up, get noticed and get flirting.

Over 50 and Dressed to Kill

Crossdressing over 50? At Crossdressing Australia, grown-ups are the main event. Look at the crossdressers and trans members on the site and the biggest age band of the lot is 65 and over, at 28%. Across all our Australian members, nearly two in three have turned 45, two in five have hit 55 and nearly one in four is 65 or older. Too old for this? Not even close.

Only about one in ten members is under 35, so the profiles you'll be flicking through belong to grown-ups, not uni students. Cross dressing men over 50, older crossdressers, mature trans women and anyone who fancies them: this page is yours.

Experience counts, too. You know your size, you know your colours and you've had decades to work out what you like. That's a head start on any twenty-something still wobbling about in their first pair of heels.

Bring Out the Sequins

You've waited long enough. Pull out the sequinned gown, the good wig and the heels you bought online and have only ever worn round the lounge room. Post a photo and let someone tell you how good you look in them.

Keep your face out of shot until you're ready, if you like. Your profile shows a username and your nearest town, never your name, email or address, and anything explicit sits behind a blur until the viewer chooses to look.

Cross dressing for older men

Your Turn in the Heels

However you got here, one of these probably rings a bell.

The suitcase under the bed

You've dressed in private for forty years, one locked drawer at a time. Now you'd like one person to see the whole look and tell you it's a knockout. Ever wondered why you do it? Our guide to why men crossdress puts words to it.

Retired and raring to go

No more early starts or Monday meetings. Retirement leaves time to learn the makeup, find heels that fit and head out dressed on a quiet Tuesday arvo.

Starting over

A marriage ends or a partner passes, and one question gets louder: if not now, when? Now is a cracking answer.

Partnered, and she knows (or soon will)

Maybe your wife has known for years. Maybe she's about to find out. Our guide for partners, my husband crossdresses, gives her straight answers.

Come Out When You Like, to Who You Like

Coming out at 65 isn't the same as coming out at 20. There may be grandkids, old mates from the footy club and a street that's known you for thirty years. You decide who finds out, when and how much. Nobody else gets a vote.

Online is an easy first step. Pick a username nobody could tie to you, post an outfit before you post your face, and chat on the site for as long as suits you. Take the free ID check and a badge appears on your profile, so people can see you're the real deal, and you can look for theirs. Anyone who gets pushy is one tap from blocked.

Make Your Profile a Head-Turner

  1. Own your age. Grown-up is the house style here.
  2. Lead with one photo of the full outfit, head to heels, taken in good daylight.
  3. Brag a little: the wig you set yourself, the op-shop frock, the heels you finally mastered.
  4. Tick the interests that fit, from en femme to satin, so they count when your matches are picked.
  5. When someone writes, write back properly. Two lines and a question beat a lonely "hi" every time.

Dates, Flings and a Bit of Mischief

Mature doesn't mean retired from fun. Say what you're after on your profile: a regular dinner date who likes you in a frock, a discreet afternoon now and then, a friend with benefits, or one wicked night you'll be grinning about for weeks.

Set the age range you want and the site shapes your match suggestions around it, along with distance and what you're looking for. Admirers can start with how to meet crossdressers. Got a frilly streak? See sissy dating. Trans and over 50? Trans dating in Australia is yours too.

Older and Curious? Ask Away

Am I too old to start crossdressing?

No. Heels don't check birth certificates. Among our crossdressers and trans members, the 65-plus crowd is the biggest age group, so starting at 60 or 70 puts you right in the thick of it.

Is crossdressing common in older men?

You're far from the only one. Here, nearly two in three members are 45-plus, and more than a quarter of our crossdressers and trans members are 65-plus.

Will I meet people my own age?

Odds are good. Two in five of our members are 55 or older, nearly one in four has reached 65, and your match suggestions take your preferred age range into account.

How can I stay discreet with family around?

Use a username the grandkids would never guess, leave your face out of the first few photos and save the full reveal for someone who's earned it. Your name and email never appear on your profile.
